Shira Lamachinsky

Shira Lamachinsky was born in April 2003 and lives in Kiryat Motzkin.
She started dancing classical ballet at the age of five in a studio in Kiryat Motzkin, where she practiced for ten years.
In 2015, Shira began attending Reut School of Arts – studying classical ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation and choreography, with teachers Michal Hasson Bardas and Racheli Shapira. She has been a part of the school dance trend since 7th grade.
Her regular week includes over 25 hours of dancing, In addition to six hours a week of dance at the ‘Haifa Center for Excellence in Dance’, where she is taught by some of the best teachers in Israel.
In recent years during the summer holidays, Shira has participated in the most prestigious summer dance intensives in Israel – at the Israeli Ballet, the Haifa Center for Excellence in Dance, the Suzanne Dellal Center, Ha-Misgeret, Batsheva and L-E-V Summer Workshop,
and studied with world-renowned teachers such as Francois Perron, Alexandra Wells, Dariush Novak, Jenny Sandler.
Also tested and accepted to the ABT (American Ballet Theatre) summer intensive 2020, which was canceled due to the pandemic.
Over the years, Shira has participated and won many competitions:
1st place in the “Competition Of Children And Youth Art” in 2015,
1st place in an international competition for artists in Bulgaria in 2016,
As well as many other first place awards in local competitions around Israel.
She won a scholarship for the AAB (American Academy of Ballet) summer course- in 2017.
She won a Classical Ballet scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in 2019, and also in 2020.
