Sivan Lavie
Sivan Lavie (b. 1992) is a visual artist and poet based in Tel Aviv. Her work deals with building a new parallel universe of meditative calm, emotional processing, abstraction, joy, color, and childlike wonder. Sivan’s paintings are a gloopy exploration of childhood and texture. She believes we are here to heal and feel the big colorful moving weirdness of the universe.
Sivan obtained an MFA in Fine Art at Bezalel Academy, an MSc in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. She has had solo shows in Power and Light Press, New Mexico, Gepaeckausgabe, Glarus, in Tel Aviv in Magasin III Jaffa Vitrine, The Central Bus Station, The Red House, and in London at Mallord’s Telephone Exchange. She’s published poetry with Minto Press, Earthbound Press, Inkfish Studio, Keith LLC Journal, Spectra poets, Care Where Zine. She’s exhibited in group shows and fairs in Sweden, the US, Greece, Israel, the UK. Her work is in private collections in Europe, Israel and the USA.
