Suzie Tuchman

Suzie Tuchman is an artist whose work explores the physical and emotional labor of homemaking, drawing on themes of family, tradition, and gender. Using everyday materials, she creates playful sculptures, artist books, installations, and prints that reflect on the cultural weight of domestic rituals—particularly within the framework of traditional Judaism.

Tuchman began her professional journey in science, earning a BA in Biology from Yeshiva University. Years later, driven by a deep passion for art, she returned to school and earned both a BFA in Printmaking and Papermaking and an MFA in Studio Art from Montclair State University in New Jersey.

Now based in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, Tuchman has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout New York City, New Jersey, and Maryland. Her work is part of the permanent collection at Rutgers University, New Jersey, as well as several private collections.
