Tamar Bieller
Tamar Bieller was born in August 2001. Starting at the age of three, she has been practicing a wide variety of movement and dance methods and had been experiencing music, drama, and plastic art circles.
At the age of 11-15, she was practicing professionally at the Ga’aton dance village studios. In addition, she attended the Excellence Program for Young Talented Dancers, led by the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company.
She moved on to the Re’ut High School of Arts (WIZO) located in Haifa, as well as to the Haifa Center of Excellence in Dance. In order to enable her three-year high-school dance studies, she partly moved out of home at the age of 15.
As she has been attending the leading summer and holidays intensive courses in Israel, along with – at the age of 16 – the Henny Jurriens Summer Program in the Netherlands at the age of 16, Tamar has been training with some of the top teachers, dancers, choreographers, and artistic directors in Israel and worldwide.
Moreover, she performed several times in the Excellent Dance Pieces Showings by the Ministry of Education (Israel). In addition, she performed in the “Bodyways” festival at Ga’aton dance village. In 2017 she was awarded the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Art Grant. In 2018 she was awarded the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship.
