Tamar Frankel Damari
Tamar Frankel Damari was born in israel. She graduated the ‘Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts’, in the major of Classical Music. Tamar studies harp 11th years with the teacher Mariana Schwartzbart at ‘The Israeli Conservatory for Music’, she graduated there this year, and she will continue her studies with Mariana in ‘Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance’ this November.
Tamar performed twice in ‘Concert for Young Soloist and Orchestra’ organized by the ‘Open Democratic School’ where she was studying then. She played Solo Harp with ‘The Camerata Jerusalem Orchestra’ on 2009 and 2010, playing the ‘Concertino of Haydn, two parts.
Tamar played twice at the opening events of the ‘International Harp Contest’ on 2006 and 2009. The events took place at the ‘Opera House’ and ‘Heichal Hatarbut’ in Tel Aviv.
Tamar attended the summer course of ‘The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’ as the first harp of the orchestra. Also, she participated in the concert series “Focus on Harp” that directed and presented by Lior Ouziel, to celebrate 20th year of the Harp Class established by Ms. Mariana Schwartzbart.
Tamar attended The First Israeli Harp Festival and Contest on October 2011 and won first award in the category of ages 12-18. In addition, she won a scholar of ‘special distinction’ for her studies of Harp in 2011.
In both 2011 and 2012 Tamar was awarded Sharet Foundation scholarships for outstanding musicians. In 2011 she was also awarded a scholarship from the Israel Conservatory for Music in Tel Aviv. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 Tamar was awarded Sharet Foundation scholarships. In 2014 she also received a honorary citation from the ‘Israeli Conservatory for Music’ in Tel Aviv. In 2016, Tamar received the status “Outstanding Musician” in the army
