Victoria Gelman

Victoria was born in Tiberias, Israel. She play the violin since age of 5 , her teachers were prof. Irina Etigon, Mila Feldman and Haim Taub. Finished her Bachelor degree with prof. Hagai Shaham at the Buchman-Mehta nusic academy. Now starting her Masters degree in UDK – Berlin with prof. Mark Gothoni.
Victoria Recently won the Clairmont competition 2018. Won the III prize of international contest for young musicians in Lithuania in 2004, America – Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship award in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011,2013,2015,2017. The Buchman – Heyman Found prize in 2007, first Prize of “Maestro” Israel National Competition for Young Musicians in 2008-2013. She won 2nd place in the Academy solo competition 2015. Victoria was invited to perform in the Paris Municipality Hall ( 2006 ) and in Kremlin, Moscow ( 2008 ), in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Latvia and Italy, she performed with “Meitarei ha Galil” Orchestra and Raanana Symphoniette with conductors Omer Welber and Gil Shohat.
Victoria took part in the master classes with well known musicians such as Miriam Fried ,Itzhak Perlman, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Shmuel Ashkenazi, Joan Kwuon, Vadim Gluzman, Sergiu Schwartz, Patinka Kopec, Hu Kun, and Grigory Kalinovsky, Ilya Kaler, and members of szymanowski quartet and Jerusalem quartet in chamber music.
She also took part in Heifetz Institute of Music, Keshet Eilon mastercourses, Zeist music Festival in Netherlands, Isa Music Festival. In 2011 Victoria was the youngest musician of Israeli Internet Orchestra concert in Tel Avivunder Yuri Bashmet’s baton.
Victoria performed in some Israeli TV & Radio programs and she won the young artists competition of “Kol ha-Musica” Israel Broadcast Authority at December 2012. Victoria used to play for few years on a violin loaned from American – Israel Cultural Foundation. Currently playing on a violin and Bow donated by WIZO.
