Vitali Friedland
Vitali Friedland is an actor, director and photographer. He was born in Minsk, Belorussia in 1983, moved to Israel in 1990 and studied acting and theatre studies in Tel Aviv.
From 2006 to 2020 he worked as an actor at the main theatres in Israel, as well as in films and on television.
Vitali was nominated as best actor at the Israeli Theatre Awards three times, and as best actor in Film at the Shanghai Film Festival. He was the winner of the Best Actor Award in the 2017 Children’s Play, for his role in the play Muff and Morris.
From 2009 to 2015 he studied photography, opened his own studio and worked as a professional photographer for various companies, theatres, galleries, and as a portrait photographer for actors.
From 2011 to 2015 Vitali studied at the Tel-Aviv University at the film and television department.
Vitali’s debut short film as a director, “Lamps Lit on the Towpath”, made in cooperation with his friend and partner Efim Graboy was selected for the official competition at the Palm Springs Film Festival, NYJFF festival, ALLOCINE Festival. His short film ”Juices”, was selected to participate at EPOS-International Art Film Festival and Cannes Court Métrage.
