Yahli Anter
Yahli is an Israeli-American violinist, currently studying with Prof. Hagai Shaham and Dr. Guy Figer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he began playing the violin at around age five. Yahli is a 12th-grade student at Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and also studies at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University as a special-status student under the guidance of Prof. Shaham.
He participates in the Jerusalem Music Center’s programs for Gifted Young Musicians, including the Goldman Chamber Music Program, the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Huberman Program for gifted string players. Since 2023, Yahli has also taken part in the Itzhak Perlman Israeli Residency program.
Over the years, Yahli has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned musicians such as Itzhak Perlman, Boris Garlitsky, Miriam Fried, Ilya Kaler, Ulf Wallin, Vadim Gluzman, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Haim Taub, Ani Schnarch, Evgeny Bushkov, Béla Horváth, among others.
He is a former student of Dr. Olga Kaler at the selective Pre-College Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music (2020–2022), and of Mrs. Anait Arutunian at the New England Conservatory. Yahli has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Baroque Ensemble at Jordan Hall (NEC) in 2018, the Brookline Youth Orchestra in 2019, and the Thelma Yellin Orchestra in 2025. In 2020, he was invited to perform at the 1st Prize Winners’ Concert at Carnegie Hall for the Vanguard Rondo Competition, though the performance was canceled due to COVID-19.
During the summers, Yahli has participated in music programs such as Bowdoin (2021–2022) and the Keshet Eilon Summer Mastercourse (2021, 2024).
He was awarded an America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) scholarship with Outstanding Excellence distinction for 2023–2024, and is also a 2024 recipient of the Ronen Foundation scholarship.
