Yaniv Amar

Yaniv Amar Born in 1987 in Nice, France, lives and works in Tel- Aviv. B.F.A. from the Shenkar College of Art, Engineering and Design, Art Department, 2015.
The main of his artistic work is searching a local identity, belonging to a place, attempt to count steps on the ground that is the raw material of his work.
Yaniv discuss, write, argue, and collaborate on the creation of complex installations in abandoned and run-down locations. Trying to address the histories of the specific locations that he chooses carefully.
Yaniv’s work can be called “Obsessive Site Specific”. He lives in places where he chooses to present and works on long-term and large-scale projects. Involving inside the society and creating a “distortion” in the place.
Yaniv has participated in solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad, winning prizes and competitions such as “Awake” (Ministry of Finance), Study’s scholarship (AICF), Mifaal Hapais and more.
His activities are evident in a variety of collaborations with many artists and creators, most notably The artist Limor Tamir.
