Yannay Shifron

Yannay Shifron was born in Israel in 1997. He started his flute studies in 2008 under Neria Parag in The Clore Music & Dance Centre. In 2015 he started studying the flute with Mr. Eyal Ein Habar. Yannay will start his studies towards B. Mus in Flute at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in the winter semester of 2016. From 2013 to 2015 Yannay studied Baroque-flute at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv under Genevieve Blanchard. Yannay took part in courses for early music at the conservatory, where he played in ensembles and masterclasses under international and Israeli artists.
Yannay participated in the Kibbutzim Youth Orchestra, the Clore-Center orchestra, and in a joint Rosh-Pina Clore regional orchestra. Yannay has taken part in masterclasses with Eyal Ein-Habar, Yossi-Arnheim and Hans Georg Schmeiser. Yannay completed the “Bagrut” Flute recital and music exam, and since October 2015 he is serving in a special status as a musician of excellence in the Israeli Defence Force. He is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship for the study of the flute for the years 2015-17.
