Yaron Meyer

Yaron Meyer is a glassblower, designer, lampworker, blacksmith, and welder. He was born in 1991 in Jerusalem, Israel.
Education:
2014-2018 BFA- Bezalel Academy of Art & Design
Began studying 2014 Bezalel wished to practice the craft of glassblowing while combining it with metalwork.
2016 Yaron received an Excellence Scholarship for a summer session at Pilchuck glass school. session 2 “Glassblowing 2.0- Sally MCcubbin”
2016 Fall semester Exchange student at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. There he participated at an exhibition “the away show”.
2017 Yaron and a group of artists from Jerusalem established a new art gallery called Marie Gallery in Jerusalem.
2017 Yaron was part of two group exhibitions at Marie Gallery.
2018 Session 6 Pilchuck glass school, part of the staff.
2018 Started to work as a tourist guide at ZuZu Tourism.
2018 First solo show Fragile & Unpolished.
2019 Part of a permanent exhibition at Israel’s most luxurious hotel Beresheet Hotel.
2019 Two group exhibitions at Haorgim 21 Gallery in Holon, Israel.
2019 Part of Pilchuck Glass school staff session 5.
2020 Curator of a glass art exhibition at Haorgim 21 Gallery.
2020 Opened own gallery in Downtown Jerusalem, presenting Jerusalem artists design.
2020 Yaron was invited by the President House to build a new glass Installation as part of the art collection of the house.
2020 As part of the designer group Jerusalem Design Mix. Yaron and his partners opened a new working studio at Beit Alians. In the studio, Yaron creates miniatures and pieces for big installations, gives classes and courses, cold work glass, and more.
