Yehonatan Garmider
My name is Yehonatan Garmider. I just finished my third year as part of a bachelor’s degree at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv University. I study classical guitar and musicology under the guidance of Mr. Ruben Seroussi.
I was discharged from the army in November 2012 after a significant service as a recruit’s commander and an officer. In 2009 I graduated from the music department at Kiryat Sharet campus high school in Holon.
I have been playing the guitar since the age of 10. Since then, I have studied with many teachers and different genres from pop to classical music. After I was discharged from the army, I decided to dedicate myself to studying and making classical music and art.
I have received excellence scholarships from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, and Holon city, first place in contemporary music at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv in 2014, second place in the 2016 Paul Ben-Haim competition, second place in the competition to perform works by the composer Ami Maayani in 2016, and a scholarship from the AICF in 2016.
