Yoav Sened
Yoav Sened was born in St. Louis, MO., U.S.A. He started playing the piano at age 4 with Mrs. Carolyn Cook (O’Conell). Over the next four years he auditioned every year at the Association of American Musicians, consistently receiving the highest marks. He moved to Israel at age 9 and began studying with piano teacher Ron Trachtman at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv.
Yoav has participated in masterclasses with many top performers in Israel and worldwide, including: Murray Perahia, Sonia Rubinsky, Roman Rabinovich, Pascal Nemirovski, Jerome Lowenthal, Ilana Vered, Janina Fialkowska, Peter Donohoe, Gilbert Kalish, Yonathan Zak and Arie Vardi.
Yoav has performed in a number of different venues. In 2016 he played with the Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble, in 2017, he participated in the international festival “Moscow Meets Friends” of the Spivakov Foundation. In the summer of 2017 he participated in the Trio Celeste Chamber Music Festival in Claire Trevor School of the Arts in UC Irvine. In January 2019 he played his first full length Solo Recital at the Israeli Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv.
Yoav won second place in the national competition in Ashdod, Israel “Piano Forever” twice. Once in the category of participants under the age of 12, and a year later, in the category of participants ages 12-15. In 2018 he won first place in the Category of 12-15. He won a Sharet scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in 2016 and again in 2018.
He continues his piano training with Mr. Ron Trachtman at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv and his general education in the music track at the “HaKfar HaYarok” school.
