Yonatan Ullman

Yonatan Ullman was born in the United States in 1982. He was raised by his scientist father and physiologist mother between the creative environments of two leading science research institutes – M.I.T Boston and The Weizmann Institute, Israel.
After completing full military service as an Explosives Ordinance Disposal Navy diver, Ullman went on to graduate with honors from the Bezalel Academy For Art And Design BFA Fine Art program (2008), and the School of Visual Arts, New York MFA Fine Art program (2010).
In 2010 Ullman won the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award, in 2013 was declared a ‘Rising Star’ at Verge Art Miami, in 2014 won the painting award at the London Biennale and in 2017 received the young artist award from Israel’s ministry of culture and sports.
Ullman lectures at the Tel Aviv Museum Of Art, Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Eretz Israel Museum in Ramat Aviv and teaches a contemporary sculpture class at ’The Cube’ in Jerusalem.
His work is featured in prominent private and public permanent collection both in Israel and abroad.
