Yotam Kary
Born in 1992, Israeli pianist Yotam Kary has recently graduated a bachelors degree of piano performance at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University, studying with prof. Arnon Erez. Playing the piano since the age of 8, Yotam studied with Mrs. Ella Shestak and since 2008 he is studying with prof. Erez. In addition, Yotam studied a few years Jazz piano playing with the late Amit Golan.
Since 2005, Yotam performed as a soloist with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem Orchestra, under conductress Sarit Biron and with the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, under the Maestro Oded Shomrony, in several occasions. A graduate of the prestigious Thelma-Yellin High School of the Arts, Yotam served as the school choir’s accompanist, with them he performed in major concerts in Israel and abroad.
Yotam played the Harpsichord in a baroque workshop under the leadership of Violinist and historic performance conductor, Bernhard Forck from Berlin and played, in other several occasions, the harpsichord and organ. in 2018 he played the Celesta with the Israeli Chamber Orchestra.
Since the beginning of his studies at The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Yotam has received three excellence scholarships. In 2017 won the 1st prize of the Buchmann-Mehta School of music chamber music competition. In 2018 has received a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
Yotam has performed mostly in solo engagements at the Tel-Aviv Yafo Music Center’s hall, Clairmont concert hall at the Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv Museum, Haifa Auditorium, “kol Hamusica” radio and more. In addition, he is performing a lot of chamber music performances.
