Yuval Shmila

Yuval Shmila, (born May 2001), is a Thelma Yellin student. She began studying piano at the age of 7 at the new music center in Ramat Gan, in Marina Gershman’s class. In September 2016, Yuval joined Dr. Michal Tal’s class at the Givatayim local conservatory.
Yuval has played a varied repertoire, including solo pieces, piano duo, piano quartet and has participated in various festivals, courses etc.
Yuval played as an outstanding student as soloist with the Ramat Gan Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Wasserman. In July 2015, Yuval played her first recital, and in June 2016 she played her second one.
Yuval has participated in a variety of master classes with worldwide leading teachers, including: Tatiana Zelikman, Daniel Pollack, Craig Sheppard, Professor Tomer Lev, Professor Asaf Zohar, Alon Goldstein and Professor Yuri Didenko.
Yuval participated in the national competition for young pianists “Piano Forever” in Ashdod in 2013 and 2015 and twice won the encouragement award.
Yuval has won the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship twice, in 2014 and in 2016.
