Ziv Wainer Bobrowicz

Ziv Wainer Bobrowicz was born in Jerusalem in 1998. Ziv graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School in 2016 and is now beginning his Bachelor’s degree in music at the the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University.
Ziv began his musical studies at age 12, studying bassoon under the instruction of Barbara Anne Shmutzler at the Hassadna Conservatory in Jerusalem. A year later, he began studying with Mr. Richard Paley, with whom he is still studying today.
During this time, Ziv has had the opportunity to perform in both chamber and solo settings in a variety of concert halls such as the Bozar Hall in Brussels, Carnegie Hall, Verizon Hall, Field Concert Hall at the Curtis Institute of Music, the Mann Auditorium, The Jerusalem Theatre, the Mormon University of Jerusalem, The Jerusalem YMCA, The Israeli Music Conservatory and the Mishkenot Sha׳ananim Music Center.
During his studies, Ziv has been supported by the Israel Philharmonic’s Keynote grant during the years 2011 – 2015. Ziv has received the AICF grant for the 2015-2017 academic years. ZIv is currently serving in the IDF as part of the “Outstanding Musician” program.
