Alec Katz Trio with Simona Arones

Vocalist Simona Arones and Alec Katz Trio will play well-known and rare standards of jazz from the American Songbook. Excerpts from the great American composers: Gershwin, Ellington, Porter, Kern, and others in special arrangements for this evening.

Simona Arones – vocalist and composer, one of the most prominent in the jazz scene in Israel. Uses her unique voice as a musical instrument and combines different influences in an original and personal approach. Simona has performed in Israel and Europe and the United States. Recorded in New York an album of original music with pianist and producer Harry Whitaker.

Alec Katz, pianist, arranger, and producer, has been active in international projects and productions for over 20 years. Performed with the best jazz artists in Israel and abroad, their sons Slade Hampton, Donald Harrison, Chuck Israels, and Kevin Mahogany.
