About:
The "Hagiga" sextet is one of the veteran bands in the Israeli Jazz scene. It was formed in 2001 and since then recorded four praised albums in big Jazz labels in the world. "Hagiga" preformed in the biggest stages of the world of Jazz- including Paris, Copenhagen, Shenzhen, Red Sea and many more and gathered many followers around the globe.
The music of "Hagiga" is exciting and varied. The group can go from fast swing to Bossa Nova, Moroccan groove and Funk. The music spans the divide between meticulously written scores and freely-roaming adventures. We perform arrangements for three multi-horn players and a rhythm section - and, occasionally, a vocalist – but we also leave a lot of space for free interaction on stage. That means we never know exactly what is coming up next. This combination is what makes our music so exciting - beautiful rich arrangements spiced up with an unrestrained spirit.
