Amir Segall has made his name as an important Israeli pianist after performances at the country’s top venues such as Beit Haamudim, Cafe Rega, Shablul and others. Mr. Segall has played and collaborated with leading musicians in the scene in Israel such as: Ofer Ganor, Barak Mori, Yuval Cohen, Omri Mor, Yonathan Volchok and others.
In NYC, Amir performs as a celebrated band leader, as well as a renowned collaborator, with leading musicians such as Reggie Workman, Hal Galper, Charlie Persip, Aaron Parks, Sam Yahel, Doug Weiss and others.
His wonderful trio will feature the incredible double bassist John Hébert. Hébert has been working alongside world famous artist such as: Fred Hersch, Andrew Hill, Paul Motian, Paul Bley, Lee Konitz, Marc Copland, Bill Stewart, Maria Schneider and many great others.
David Sirkis is a prominent drummer in the Israeli jazz scene who has played with leading musicians in the Israeli jazz scene like Erez Barnoy, Amos Hoffman, Yonathan Volchok, Yuval Cohen, Matan Chapnitzky and others.
The trio will perform Amir’s original compositions as well as composition by other great composers such as Thelonious Monk, Keith Jarrett and Wayne Shorter, and Carla Bley.
