De Lʼimage Au Son – Et À Lʼenvers” von Itay Dvori

As part of the "fête de la musique", the Institut français München presents "De l'image au son - et à l'envers", an illustrated piano recital with composer and pianist Itay Dvori

With works by Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, Francis Poulenc as well as own compositions and improvisations on graphic novels

De l'Image au Son - et à l'envers (From Picture to Sound - and Back), the second piano recital in the series of yam yabasha concerts by Itay Dvori, is a French program that addresses the special relationship of inspiration between image and sound Sound dedicates. A central work in the concert is Erik Satie's "Sports et Divertissements", an exceptional piece of music history with twenty piano miniatures to illustrations by Charles Martin, reflecting the zeitgeist of the 'Belle Epoque' in Paris. Also "L'Isle Joyeuse" by Claude Debussy goes back to a painting by Watteau; The work invites the listener, above all, to create his own world of images

Another part of the program is dedicated to the "nevième art" ('ninth art'), as in France there is called the particularly well-kept comic art. Here, the completely composed type of imagery of the first part is juxtaposed with a completely new type: Itay Dvori plays partly improvised comic settings, which he created in his most recent project. The images from the set graphic novels by French artists such as Joann Sfar and Edmond Baudoin are projected parallel to the music.
