Using an array of multi-layered harmony and extreme sounds – in contradiction to most straight-ahead jazz pianists – this Israeli musician also likes to take creative risks and experiment in varied musical settings.
Guy Moskovich’s ensemble’s upcoming week-long concerts at Beit Haamudim, is already making waves as a major presentation of Israeli contemporary jazz.
Guy famously collaborated with other iconic musicians such as Mike Rodriguez, Joel Frahm, Omer Avital, Hwansu Kang, and Alon Near. The industry has been considering him, in recent years, as an important and unpredictable player who always surprises. In the forefront of the newest generation of jazz pianists, his long–time reputation is growing, not only thanks to his dexterity, imagination and creation of a sound that’s all his own, but also because of his incomparable array of performances, such as at the Red Sea Jazz Festival, Bern Jazz Festival, The Jazz Gallery, Cornelia St Cafe and Levontin 7.
