Intimacy of Creativity – The Bright Sheng Partnership: Composers Meet Performers in Hong Kong – has invited pianist Yael Manor and composer Gilad Hochman to be Guest Artist during the upcoming festival in Hong Kong and the Israeli Chamber Project (ICP) as its Ensemble-in-Residence.
All musicians will join director and composer Bright Sheng for a series of two-weeks discussions, open rehearsals, and concerts on pieces by selected Composer Fellows Nick DiBerardino (USA), Jordan Kuspa (USA), Nicole Murphy (Australia), Meilina Tsui (Kazakhstan/Hong Kong) and SiHyun Uhm (South Korea), and classical 20th century works. During the festival Hochman’s trio ‘Shedun Fini’ for clarinet, cello and piano will also receive its Hong Kong premiere.
Participating musicians include Tibi Cziger – Clarinet, Yonah Zur – Violin, Jonathan Keren – Violin, Wenting Kang – Viola, Ira Givol – Cello, Assaff Weisman – Piano and Yael Manor – Piano.
