Igor Kogan is a versatile composer, arranger and bass player, who has performed in U.S, Europe and Israel, including Jazz at Lincoln Center and Steinway Hall (NYC), Bern Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Red Sea Jazz Festival (Israel) to name a few.
After spending several years in New York working as a performing and recording bass player and composer/arranger for Broadway musical shows, he relocated to Los Angeles in 2014, where he formed his LA Big Band - 17 piece modern jazz orchestra, which performs all original material with contemporary influences, composed and arranged by Igor. This orchestra has performed at renowned venues and jazz clubs in LA, including “Blue Whale”, “Vitellos” and others… and has been accumulating positive reviews from Los Angeles music community, including honorable recognition from NACUSA (National Association of Composers USA) and ASMAC (American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers).
