Ayelet Zurer & Lihi Kornovski star in Sigal Avin's series Losing Alice that will premiere at Canneseries
The Israeli drama TV series Losing Alice will be premiering at the 3rd Canneseries TV festival in Cannes, France. The series by writer-director Sigal Avin will participate in the event's main competition.
The first season of the series includes eight episodes (45 minutes per episode) and its cast is headed by Ayelet Zurer, Lihi Kornovski, Gal Toren Yossi Marshak and Shai Avivi. The series was produced by Dori Media Darset and will be broadcast at HOT channel in Israel.
During Canneseries the first two episodes will be screened.
Losing Alice is a thrilling cinematic journey that uses flashbacks and flash-forwards in a satisfyingly complex narrative that takes the viewer through the conscious and subconscious of its protagonist’s mind. The series follows Alice (played by Ayelet Zurer), a 48-year-old female film director, who feels irrelevant since raising her family. After a brief encounter on a train, she becomes obsessed with a 24-year-old screenwriter femme fatale, Sophie (played by Lihi Kornowski), and eventually surrenders her moral integrity in order to achieve power, relevance and success.
