Playshop, Movement Workshop with Tamar Ettun
workshop and conversation with artist Tamar Ettun, held as an international video conference call
Join Artis from anywhere around the world for Playshop, a movement workshop and conversation with artist Tamar Ettun, held as an international video conference call. Rooted in writings by philosopher Emmanuel Levinas about the significance of in-person, human interactions needed to feel compassion towards others, Ettun’s workshop invites participants to engage remotely, or wherever they may be, in playful, experimental movement that considers how bodies move together, and alone, as an expression of healing. Using fruit and household items as props for the exercises, Ettun will lead participants through a series of multisensory movements, followed by a facilitated and inclusive conversation, centered on the question: What is empathy in our current moment of social distancing?
