Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar (L-E-V) – Love Chapter 2
The new dance creation of choreographer duo Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar begins where love breaks. It describes the state of loss pain, mental exhaustion and new hope at the end of the tunnel. The production is winner of the "Fedora-Van Cleef & Arpels Prize for Ballet 2017".
"Lev" is Hebrew and translates to" heart "in German. "LEV "is the name of the Israeli company, which knows all matters of heart and love. The dance company came the first time to Cologne in 2016 with "OCD love" and is now here with the next part: "Love chapter 2".
The new creation of choreographer duo Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar begins where love breaks. It describes the state of loss pain, mental exhaustion and new hope at the end of the tunnel with the choreographic handwriting so typical of Sharon Eyals. The musician and DJ Ori Lichtik delivers the sound carpet on which the dancers move with his pulsating, partly live techno beats. As a sextet, they take to the stage, anonymously, androgynously. They form with infinite flexibility to ever new expressive body images. But the unit is deceiving - each one of the six ensemble members struggles for survival, like dark souls on the big empty stage. Razor-sharp down to the last detail they give shape to their emotions, the next outbreak is never far away.
