A live Concert and a radio broadcast of the main concert at the Apostle Paulus Church in Berlin-Schöneberg
A live Concert and a radio broadcast of the main ceremony at the Apostle Paulus Church in Berlin-Schöneberg for the Good Friday Ceremony and the Uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto.
"Unfortunately, there is no way for us to escape this horrible, terrible death," writes Salomea Ochs Luft in April 1943 in a letter from the Polish ghetto to her family. This year, the Good Friday date coincides with the anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Voices of the dead and the survivors: psalms, letters, songs and prayers will accompany us in the ceremony and music that was never performed before, written by Jewish composers in Warsaw Ghetto.
Nur Ben Shalom - Clarinet
Hande Kueden - Violin
Elena Rindler - Violin
Francesca Zappa - Viola
Ulrike Hofmann - Cello
Frank Schreiber - Organ
The sermon is held by the General Superintendent Ulrike Trautwein and Superintendent Michael Raddatz.
