Two individual installations in each one's room, while we both visited each other with some art pieces, accentuating our dialogue, our stories. This exhibition is about memory, sensations, light, murkiness and wanderings. The installation is mostly done on paper: Hand ripped and painted tracing paper, parchment and archive paper photographs, paper cyanotypes. Also wax objects (strawberries), papier Mache objects (riding horse sticks) books from our childhood, cyanotypes on old used family lace materials. Chains of thoughts and feeling. A rhizome composition, a female perspective of chiaroscuri on a timeline that moves backwards and forwards.

Lucy Elkivity and Alejandra Okret’s mother tongue is Spanish. They were both born in Uruguay; Each of them immigrated to Israel when they were young, where they met in the art scene and where their identities as artists were shaped. From the beginning, they appreciated each other's work, without knowing that both were Uruguayans from the same city and same neighborhood in Montevideo.

Subtle semiotic connections can be found in their works. Their works are presented separately in two adjoining rooms; Each room has a distinct significance that belongs to the individual artist, with each room also containing signs from the other.
