The Israeli-American quartet, co-led by the inspiring Israeli pianist and keyboardist Amir Segall and the brilliant guitarist and composer Boaz Marva bring their quartet, ''ZAJJEERF'' to Pianos.

The band will feature:

Boaz Marva (Israel)- guitar

Amir Segall (Israel)- keyboards

Kris Monson (USA)- bass

Amir Bar Akiva (Israel)- drums

The quartet, ''ZZAJEERF'', is drawing inspirations by electronic, rock, funk, jazz and improvised music. The quartet performs free improvisations as well as compositions by Mr. Segall and Boaz Marva.

About:

Composer and pianist Amir Segall makes his long-awaited performance at Pianos. Amir has become one of the most distinctive and influential musicians in the Israeli jazz, combining Western jazz with soulful musical traditions from the Middle East and beyond. Highly respected as a versatile and musically mature pianist, Amir is at his best when given the opportunity to showcase his own groups, original compositions, and arrangements.

His accomplishments, as his range and command as a composer continue to expand, and he has already played or performed as a leader or soloist at top Israeli and US clubs including Rockwood Music Hall, Club Bonafide, Silvana, Nublu, Beit Ha’amudim Shablul, Cafe Rega and others.

A distinctly accomplished Israeli Guitarist, cross-genre instrumentalist and composer, Boaz Marva breaks boundaries and continues to create music that is highly acclaimed by peers and critics alike in Israel and abroad. The respected musician creates music in many of the world’s most prestigious clubs and festivals such as: Rockwood music hall, Pete's Candy store, Levontin 7, Tmuna Theater and more, and has been collaborating with other jazz icons, such as David Schnitter, Sam Yahel, Davis Whitfield among others.
