Israeli Artist Relief Fund

America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) opens a new cycle of grants through the Israeli Artist Relief Fund, for Israeli artists during the COVID-19 period.

The grant is intended for artists living in Israel and experiencing severe financial distress following the COVID-19 crisis.

In this cycle, the fund will award grants of NIS 3,000 which to around 900 artists.

*Please, note! Application deadline: February 4, 2021.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Age 21 and older
• Israeli citizen or permanent Israeli resident, Teudat  Zehut number required
• Currently living in Israel
• Experiencing significant economic distress due to the COVID-19 crisis
• Professional artist able to demonstrate a sustained commitment to their work and career in one of the eligible art fields (listed below)
• Did not receive an AICF (Sharett) scholarship in 2020-21
• Did not receive a grant in the first cycle of the Artist Relief Fund

Artists in the following fields are eligible to apply:

Dance – dancers, choreographers, set designers, costume designers, lighting designers;
Cinema – screenwriters, actors, directors, photographers, video editors, set designers, costume designers, lighting designers;
Music – composers, musicians, singers, conductors;
Theater – directors, actors, writers, playwrights, dramatist, set designers, costume designers, lighting designers;
Visual Art – photographers, painters, sculptors, visual artists, performers, animators, cartoonists, video artists.

Additional Details:

> Artists who advance to the next stage of the grant process will be required to submit bank statements for the past 12 months and a balance report from all bank accounts by January 31, 2021. These details will be kept completely confidential by AICF;
> Applicant details are kept confidential in a database managed by AICF, and the information is used only for the purpose of grant management. The database is confidential and secure and is managed in accordance with the Privacy Protection Law;
> Applicants’ eligibility will be reviewed by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation;
> The application will be submitted online only by filling out and submitting the online form;
> No more than one support request can be submitted;
> Once the application has been submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation email with a submission number;
> Results will be sent to the applicant’s email address.

General information:

> AICF will work to equally help artists from a variety of fields of cultural activity in Israel regardless of religion, race, gender, and area of residence;
> The decisions will be made at its sole discretion and will not be subject to appeal;
> The Foundation reserves the right not to read an application that has not been submitted in accordance with the rules and procedures, and to reject it without further justification;
> Subsequently, and subject to collaborations and fundraising, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation may open additional cycles of support.
