Ilya Ram Accepted to The Akademie Musiktheater Heute Scholarship Program

The Israeli conductor is one of the 15 new holders of the scholarship offered by the Deutsche Bank Foundation

The Akademie Musiktheater Heute scholarship program of the Deutsche Bank Foundation accepted 15 new scholarship holders, among the Israeli conductor Ilya Ram. From numerous applications, a special jury selected young opera talents who will be accepted into the academy. The jury includes the director Alexander Charim, the general director of the Münster Theater Katharina Kost-Tolmein and the composer Vito Zuraj.

This scholarship program works towards the future of our industry by establishing a network of young artists and industry members who wish to delve deeper into the world of opera in all its forms and current trends while nurturing creativity and allowing an exchange of ideas.
“We look forward to the exchange with the new scholarship holders. We are particularly excited about their impulses for the music theater of tomorrow and their artistic positions. We hope that this year will also benefit from the unique network of the AMH and enrich it.” says Dr. Kristina Hasenpflug, Managing Director of the Deutsche Bank Foundation.
