Meytar Tirosh and Yuval Yakir Put a New Spin on Mozart

Two Piano and Percussion players, Meytar Tirosh and Yuval Yakir respectively, have collaborated in an innovative version of Mozart’s “Sonata for Two Pianos in D, K. 448”.

Both players are AICF grant recipients and have won several competitions.Tirosh and Yakir arranged and play a piece that had been originally written for two pianos, and performed it at the Buchmann-Mehta school of music:

 

 

Specific guidance and consultancy have been provided by Tomer Yariv (an international Percussionist), and Liora Ziv-Li.

Challenged and encouraged, they are planning similar events in the near future. To be continued…..
