Roey Victoria Heifetz Featured in New Book “Dissonance – Painting In Germany Today”

AICF grant recipient, artist Roey Victoria Heifetz appears alongside 81 prominent contemporary German artists in new book

written by art historians Christoph Tannert and Mark Gisbourne and published by DCV books.

About the book:
In this new book, the editors present 81 of the most important painters living in Germany from the last two decades.

Since reunification, Germany has become an important hub for international painting. The generation of artists born in the 1970s and 1980s does not follow any collective trends or clearly identifiable influences. Nonetheless, their art captures the cultural and sociological shifts and divergences since the fall of the Iron Curtain, with seismographic precision. These artists dare to judge, uncover the unexpected and seek added value in aesthetically stirring performances. The book is an important overview of one of the most exciting chapters in recent German art history.
