Crowdfunding: The Documentary Film Missing Microbes
Missing Microbes is a feature documentary by Steven Lawrence and Sarah Schenck about the critical role of microbes in human health, and the consequences of disrupting our microbes. A substantial part of the film is shot in Israel, in collaboration with cinematographer Danor Glazer and producer Hagar Alroey.
The project is now crowdfunding and donations are tax-deductible. Visit the donation page to contribute to the completion of the film.
Missing Microbes features the innovative work of two Israeli scientists – Eran Segal and Eran Elinav – at the renowned Weizmann Institute in Rehovot. In a clinical trial, they have shown that a personalized nutrition program based upon microbiome analysis, can treat and even cure diabetes and pre-diabetes. The company Day Two and its app are based on their discoveries, helping patients to improve their condition by making choices that fit their individual needs.
