About Aharon Ozery

Aharon Ozery, born in Canada, in 1971, currently lives and works in Berlin, after participating in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien Residency. He is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and has also been teaching there for three years.

He is an installation & drawing artist. Most of Ozery’s works are large-scale installations usually involving movement and repetition, they combine low-tech materials with high technology.

In the last few years, Aharon Ozery had solo shows in Berlin and Tel Aviv. His last show "Serendipity" was in April 2012 in Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv; 2011 “No sky, no earth but still snowflakes fall” Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; “The fisherman's hut, mixed with little shrimp, some crickets!” in Inga Gallery.

Recent group exhibtitions were “Metakom” (2011 // Gütersloh, Germany);

Aharon Ozery has been awarded the Ministry of Culture "Young Artist" Prize, The "Kunstlerhaus Bethanien Residency”, Berlin and the Artist – Teacher Scholarship – Ministry of Education of Israel.
