Alon Kariv

Alon Kariv was born in 1999 in Israel.
Studied at Thelma Yelin High School of Arts. Alon started playing the piano at the age of 7, His first teacher was Hana Barzilay.
From the age of 15 his teacher has been professor Tomer Lev.
Alon has performed with the Israel Philahrmonic Orchestra, the Slovenian RTV orchestra under the baton of maestro George Pehlivanian and with violinist Gil Sharon from the Amati Ensemble. Alon has also performed numerous recitals and chamber music concerts. In 2011, he performed at a gala in Lincoln Center.
Alon has been a recipient of AICF Excellence Scholarships since 2010. He won 1st prize at the national Piano Forever competition in Ashdod in 2012, and 3rd prize at the Merkin Hall International Piano Competition in New York.
