Alon Petrilin

    Alon was born in 1994. He began playing the piano at the age of 9 under Alexandra Burstein. Served in the IDF as an Excelled Musician.

    Alon won many prizes: the Pnina Salzman competition for young pianists, the solo and chamber music competition of the Jerusalem Academy (2015), and first prize at the “American Protege” competition, which enabled him to play at Carnegie Hall.

    Alon was a soloist for the Haifa Symphonic Orchestra and the Alicante University Philharmonic Orchestra, and attended many masterclasses worldwide.

    Recipient of the AICF scholarship since 2012.

    The 2015-2016 winners of the Aviv Competition grouped with the Israeli Chamber Orchestra to perform in a festive, celebration concert, under the wonderful conduction of Maestro Ariel Zuckerman. The concert, held in Tel Aviv, was in dear memory of Bilha Davis, who ran the Sharett Scholarship Foundation between 1987 and 1998. Her family continues to help with the Foundation’s activities up to this very day.
