Amir Ron

Pianist Amir Ron, born 2001, regularly performs as soloist and chamber musician in venues across Israel, Europe, and America, and is currently studying towards a Master’s degree at The Juilliard School under Prof. Robert McDonald.

In 2019 Amir finished his studies at the Givatayim conservatory of music where he studied piano for 10 years with Mrs. Sara Tal, and in 2023 graduated from the Buchmann-Mehta school of music, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree as a student of Prof. Asaf Zohar and Prof. Arie Vardi.

As soloist, Amir has performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli Chamber orchestra, and more, as well as playing recitals at the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, The Juilliard School, The Jerusalem Music Centre, The Eden-Tamir Music Centre, The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Elma Hall, Sala dei Notari & more.
An active chamber musician and a Ravinia Steans Music Institute fellow for the summers of 2022 & 2023, Amir has performed numerous chamber works in venues such as The Ravinia Festival, The Jerusalem Music Center, The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, The Eden-Tamir Music Centre, Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies, Largo Mahler Milano and more. In summer 2025, Amir will take part at the prestigious Marlboro Festival, at the invitation of Mitsuko Uchida & Jonathan Biss.
As Juror, Amir has served as chairman and speaker of the Junior Juries at the 17th Arthur Rubinstein Piano Master Competition and the 16th Geza Anda Competition.

Amir is a top prize winner at the “Young Artist”, “Pnina Salzman”,” Katcz” “Piano Forever” & “Sternberg” competitions, As well as at the Tel-Hai International Master Classes Concerto Competition.

A winner of numerous scholarships, Amir’s studies have been supported by the AICF, The Juilliard School scholarships, HFLS, The Ronen Foundation, The Buchmann Mehta School of Music scholarships, and more.

Amir is a graduate of the "Goldman" program for excellent musicians held by the JMC, and of the distinguished piano program led and conducted by maestro Murray Perahia.

Amir participated in the masterclasses of Murray Perahia, Richard Goode, András Schiff, Miriam Fried, Jonathan Biss, Menachem Pressler, Paul Badura-Skoda, Gilbert Kalish, Alessio Bax, Jeremy Denk, Craig Shepperd, Victor Rosenbaum, Oxana Yablonskaya and more.
After finishing his studies at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts with distinguished excellency, Amir completed his mandatory service in the IDF as an "outstanding musician" during 2019-2022.
