Elad Navon
Elad Navon is an Israeli clarinetist, currently pursuing his Artist Diploma at the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles under the guidance of Prof. Yehuda Gilad.
Elad begun playing the clarinet at the age of 9 at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in the class of Mr. Ilya Schwartz. In 2018 Elad graduated from the high-school and the conservatory of the JAMD.
Elad completed his B.Mus (magna cum laude) at the Buchmann - Mehta School of Music in the class of Tibi Cziger, and his M.Mus in the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in the class of Prof. Yehuda Gilad.
Served at the IDF under the status of an "Outstanding Musician", and participated in the "David Goldman Program" in the Jerusalem Music Centre.
Elad played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Young Israel Philharmonic, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israel NK Orchestra, Israel Contemporary Players, American Youth Symphony, Downey Symphony Orchestra and the Colburn Orchestra.
Elad played under the baton of Sir András Schiff, Zubin Mehta, Lahav Shani, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Karl-Heinz Steffens, Vasily Petrenko, Ilan Volkov, Yoel Levi, Carl St. Clair, Carlos Izcaray, Jefferey Kahane, Tito Muñoz, Krzysztof Chorzelski and more.
Elad participated in master classes with the musicians: Francois Benda, Kilian Herold, Murray Perahia, Sharon Kam, Martin Frost, Hermann Stefansson, Laura Ruiz Ferreres, Olli Leppaniemi, Pascal Moragues, Chen Halevi, Lorenzo Coppola, Christian Stene, Nick Deutsch, Shirley Brill, Alicia Lee, Bjorn Nyman, Michael Rusinek, Julian Milkis, Alexander Fiterstein, Emil Visenescu, Yevgeny Yehudin, Ron Zelka, Danny Erdman, and more.
Elad won the second prize of the Vandorem Emerging Artist competition in 2024, the first prize at Kfar-Saba Winds Competition in 2022 and the first prize at the annual Wind Competition of the BMSM in 2020.
Elad performed in recitals and orchestra concert in the Charles Bronfman Auditorium, YMCA Jerusalem, Walt Disney Hall Los Angeles, Križevniška Church in Slovenia, Studio Annette, Jerusalem Theatre, Israel Museum, Eden-Tamir Center in Ein Kerem (as part of live radio broadcasting) and more.
Elad is being supported by the AICF since 2017.
