Galit Zadok
Galit Zadok is a graduate of the Israeli Conservatory of Music – Tel Aviv where she obtained a
diploma in both recorder and flute. She studied recorder at The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and at The Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Where she followed historical bassoon studies, she then continued and graduated from the Royal Conservatoire – The Hague.
In 2010 Galit was a semifinalist at the Paul Ben-Haim competition, she had won the American-Israel Scholarship for the years 2010-2012, and also received The Avi Fellowship Scholarship foundation for the year 2012-2013. Galit has received the Siday Fellowship for Musical Creativity for the year 2016-2017 and in 2018 she was accepted and followed the Erasmus programme at the Conservatorio di Milano.
From early on Galit had been playing in various ensembles. Early music and classical groups, those of multi-cultural influences which led her also into the contemporary music scene. She has been performing in different venues and festivals in Israel and Europe. Galit is the (co-)musical director of the early music ensembles we’N band and La Voz Humana. She is also actively involved in the contemporay-classical-folk scene with Ensemble Nowoc.
