Inbal Abergil
Inbal Abergil is a photographer who was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and currently lives in New York City.
She studied photography at Jerusalem’s Hadassah College in 2001 and received her B.Ed.F.A. with honors in 2007 from the Midrasha School of Art.
In 2011 Inbal obtain her MFA from Columbia University, School of the Arts. Inbal seeks to investigate aesthetic and societal norms held by both Israeli society and the world at large through the concept of time and memory.
Each body of work uses the varied options contemporary photography offers, from documentary to staging.
Her work has won awards from the Gale Rubin Photography Competition, a Rabenovich Prize from Tel-Aviv’s Department of Art and Culture, and The America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF). She has exhibited work in New York City, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Amsterdam, and throughout Israel.
