Judith Appleton

Judith (Yehudit) Appleton lives and works in Jerusalem. Before immigrating to Israel in 1978, Appleton took external classes at the School of Visual Arts, NYC, in drawing, printmaking, and photography.
She earned a BFA from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, after studies at the Kibbutz Artists’ Workshop, and continued her education after Bezalel with external classes at the Jerusalem Studio School. Member of the Jerusalem Artists’ House, Appleton has exhibited there and in other venues in Israel and at artist residency programs abroad (Armenia, Greenland, Canada, Switzerland). She travels to return to see Jerusalem through fresh eyes. Appleton works with oils on canvas, dry media on paper, printmaking, and video.
Her current exhibition is of works on paper at the Tel Aviv Artists’ House.
