Keren Shpilsher was born in 1977 in Kiryat Ono. A graduate of Vital/Shenkar College for Art and Design, Department of Illustration (Graduated cum laude). She is a multidisciplinary visual artist. Throughout the years, Shpilsher has developed a unique artistic language which combines comics, modern and historic art, Judaica, consumerism, current events and folklore. Those thoughts are all chopped and processed in her exceptional mind and spread over the canvass to produce beautiful, enticing creations. Shpilsher’s work offers a glimpse into her life’s rhythm, speech and work and also her way of seeing our world. Plenty of drama, bells and whistles all clad in a multitude of brightly colored, meticulous details are overflowing from her impressive work, spicing it up with kitsch, mannerism and critique. She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions.
