Lior Yoahimik

Clarinetist Lior Yoahimik was born in Chicago in 1997, and currently resides in Basel, Switzerland.
Lior Studies Clarinet at the music Akademie Basel in the class of Prof. Francois Benda. Graduated in 2022 at the Buchmann Mehta School of music, Tel Aviv University with Mr. Yevgeny Yehudin
He began his studies with The Israeli Opera Principal Clarinet, Michael Gurfinkel in Kfar Saba Conservatory.
Lior performed with The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in various clarinet, bass-clarinet and E flat clarinet roles, performing at Tel-Aviv’s Charles Bronfman Auditorium and Jerusalem’s Henry Crown Hall. He was co-principal clarinet in Haifa Symphony Orchestra 2018-2019 and regularly perform as a freelancer with major orchestras in Israel.
Lior is part of the Ensemble Finale where he regularly performs clarinet and strings ensemble pieces.

2nd prize at the Kfar Saba national wind competition 2020
3rd prize of the Paul Ben Haim Competition 2020
Since 2017 Lior regularly participates in masterclasses all over the world with top leading clarinetist, including: Charles Neidich, Nicholas Baldeyrou, Anthony McGill and Francois Benda.
During 2013-2020, Lior was granted a scholarship for his clarinet studies by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
