Martha Rieger
Martha Rieger
Hybridization come through in Martha Rieger’s work as a contemporary arena for current symbols and narratives she is interested in.
The most apparent forms in her artistic oeuvre, for the last few years, have been the shapes of the Egg and the Bubble. Their unusual, fragile and temporary forms, that are always on the edge of breaking down or cracking open, create a tension on which she embodies her own private world, by hand-drawing on them, or by using ready-made motives in an unusual, rearranging context.
