Nitsan Kolko

Nitsan Kolko is an Israeli pianist, composer, and arranger. He studied jazz piano at the Israel Conservatory of Music and at The New School in New York City.
His latest projects include: a debut album “Allusions” with clarinetist Hillai Govreen, arranging Brazilian music for an ensemble of strings and woodwinds, arranging music for a big band, composing and conducting a concept piece for a gospel choir accompanied by a big band and spoken word and leading a trio of original music.
He has played as a sideman with some of Israel’s leading jazz musicians in festivals all around the world.
Nitsan is a recipient of the America Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship, the Israeli Conservatory of Music Excellence Scholarship and the Israeli army “Outstanding Musician” award. Nitsan graduated from the New School with honors under the instruction of Sam Yahel, Glenn Zaleski, and Shai Maestro.
