Rotem Braten
Rotem Braten was born in Israel in 1992. She began her flute studies at the age of 9 at the Karmiel conservatory and continued her studies with Mr. Yossi Arnheim at the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. In 2010-2012 she served in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician. She is currently studying at the Basel Musik Hochschule under Prof. Renggli
Right after her BMus studies in Jerusalem she played the Principal Flute audition held by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Rotem turned out to be the first runner up for the job, and was then offered a temporary position in the orchestra. Since then she has been invited for several projects in the orchestra.
She won the first prize in the “Young Player” competition Haifa 2010, as well as the “Young Flutist” competition Raanana 2011. She also participated in the Academy of Music: Wind Instrument competition 2011, Dean of the Performing arts Faculty prize 2011/12, Concerto Competition 2012, Chamber Music and Israeli Chamber Music competitions 2013/14, Audience choice in “Spring Competition” 2015.
Rotem has attended master classes in Slovenia and Germany with Prof. Moshe Epstein. She has played as a soloist with Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Raanana Symphonette and the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Jerusalem.
She is a recipient of AICF scholarships since 2007.
