Shimrit Golan Cohen
Shimrit Golan Cohen is an artistic advisor, content specialist, and project manager working in the fields of culture and dance. A former dancer and dance educator, she brings over two decades of experience supporting artists and creators, managing complex cultural projects, leading large-scale productions and festivals, developing content, and guiding application processes in Israel and internationally.
She currently serves as a Project Manager, Audience Development Manager, and Head of the Children & Youth Division at the Suzanne Dellal Centre for Dance and Theatre in Tel Aviv. Previously, she founded and edited Hakol Koreh (“The Open Call”), the first online platform in Hebrew dedicated to sourcing and making open calls accessible to artists, and was among the founding team of RE-SEARCH, a professional training program for dancer-creators in Israel.
Alongside her managerial work, Golan Cohen graduated with distinction from CNDC d’Angers (France), a leading higher education institution for contemporary dance. She also holds a yoga teaching certification and has training in After Effects and animation. As a dancer and creator, she has collaborated with leading artists in Israel and Europe and presented her work at international festivals.
She is the recipient of grants from the Mifal HaPais Council for Culture and Arts, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Aerowaves, Plesni Theatre (Slovenia), Workshop Foundation (Hungary), Inteatro Academy (Italy), NAO – Nuovi Autori Oggi (Italy), and international videodance awards. She also serves as a judge in dance competitions and is actively engaged in strengthening professional infrastructures for artists and creators.
