Tali Rubinstein

Just like most kids, Tali began playing the recorder in 2nd grade. Unlike most, she never stopped.
A student of Bracha Kol, Tali was professionally trained in classical baroque and renaissance music from a young age. She studied in prestigious music institutions in Israel (Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, Rimon School, The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music) and received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation from 1994 to 2006. Tali received a full tuition scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, being the first recorder player to attend the college, and was chosen to represent Berklee at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C. Upon graduation, Tali received the W.S. Kenney award for outstanding achievement.
In recent years, Tali has been collaborating with multiple Grammy Award winning producer Javier Limón on several projects, including: Tal y Tali (together with pianist Tal Even-Tzur), Promesas De Tierra (with musicians from Palestine, Spain, and Israel), and on the 2015 Latin Grammy Award winning album Entre 20 Aguas (also featuring Chick Corea, Dhafer Youssef, Michel Camilo, Chucho Valdéz and Alejandro Sanz). Tali was mentioned alongside Limón in Barack Obama’s Favorite Songs of 2018 list, featuring Tonina’s version of Historia De Un Amor. In fall 2017 Tali joined the Flamenco Legends tour curated by Limón, with Paco de Lucia’s original band. Currently, Tali is a member of Original Quartet, together with Layth Sidiq (Iraq), Shilpa Ananth (India), and Limón, signed by the prestigious IMG Artists.
Tali collaborated with world-renowned musicians: Alejandro Sanz (in the 14th annual Latin Grammys), Anat Cohen, Tomatito, Mariza, Alain Mallet, Jamey Haddad, Shedrick Mitchell, Israel Suárez “Piraña”, Diego del Morao, Alain Pérez, Farruco, Antonio Serrano and others. Israeli artists she played with include Idan Raichel, David Broza, Yoni Rechter, Dan Toren, Dana Berge, Ariel Horowitz, Lea Shabbat and Knessiat Hasechel, to name a few.
Tali performed at The Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Birdland Jazz Club, and toured in over 15 countries. She performed as a soloist with the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and the Manila Symphony Orchestra, and recorded for Univision and Nickelodeon TV.
Currently, Tali is working on a new album produced by Limón, featuring her original compositions.
